RESUMOO processo de envelhecimento da sociedade, atrai alterações funcionais e fisiológicas para o individuo. A redução da mobilidade e funcionalidade do idoso, podem ser desencadeadas devido à diversos fatores, como patológicos e/ou naturais que influenciam diretamente na independência do indivíduo. O papel da fisioterapia para essa população é de reestabelecer a funcionalidade, reduzir ou prevenir agravamentos em articulações e melhorar a qualidade de vida, porém, ao associar o tratamento fisioterapêutico ao uso de tecnologias, podem provocar melhores resultados para pacientes idosos e até mesmo para os profissionais. Nesta visão, o objetivo desse presente estudo é analisar os efeitos do uso da tecnologia atrelada a fisioterapia para a melhoria da mobilidade funcional dos idoso com limitações da mobilidade. A pesquisa é caracterizada como uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada nas bases de dados Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) e Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (Lilacs), afim de elucidar a pergunta norteadora "Como a Tecnologia pode ajudar a Fisioterapia na melhoria da mobilidade funcional de idosos?" correlatos dos descritores em inglês, formando duas chaves de busca ("tecnologia biomédica" AND "idoso" AND "limitação da mobilidade" e "fisioterapia" AND "limitação da mobilidade" AND "idoso"). Na seleção dos artigos, foram encontrados o tota de 171 arquivos, após a aplicação dos filtros , utilização dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, restaram 11 para leitura na integra, onde houveram exclusões de 4 estudos por não estarem nas adequações dos critérios de inclusão, finalizando com 7 artigos que fazem parte da construção deste trabalho científico. A partir da síntese dos estudos encontrados, é possível evidenciar equipamentos tecnológicos como jogos de Realidade Virtual (RV), trajes ortopédicos e cintas que que influenciam na estabilidade do paciente na facilitação da mobilidade, estimulando a interação do paciente com o ambiente tecnológico, reduzindo a monotonia do tratamento fisioterapêutico
RESUMOO envelhecimento humano caracteriza-se por processos de transformações em um indivíduo, onde poderá ocorrer o aparecimento de adversidades que irão associar-se a limitações físicas e cognitivas, podendo culminar em dependência nas atividades de vida diária do idoso. O trabalho do fisioterapeuta apresenta-se como uma ferramenta preventiva, na qual vai oferecer promoção à saúde do idoso, fazendo como objetivo de estudo o uso do movimento corporal, e com o uso da tecnologia atrelado a esse exercício vem facilitando e melhorando a adesão e resultados na fisioterapia. Este trabalho objetiva analisar, de acordo com a literatura, a influência da Fisioterapia associada ao uso de tecnologias na promoção da aptidão física e independência de idosos. Trata-se de uma de uma revisão integrativa, na qual foram exploradas as bases de dados BVS (Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde), LILACS (Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde) e SCIELO (ScientificElectronicLibrary Online), e os descritores usados foram Aptidão Física, Idoso, Fisioterapia, Tecnologia Biomédica. A seleção do trabalho se deu pela combinação dos descritores e nas bases de dados citadas, onde 273 artigos foram encontrados ao todo, 155 foram selecionados para a leitura dos títulos e resumos, 11 para a leitura na íntegra e 4 para compor o trabalho. A partir deles conclui-se que a fisioterapia associada ao uso de tecnologia resultou em aspectos positivos na marcha, na aptidão física e na independência dos idosos; porém havendo uma maior necessidade de trabalhos voltados para esta área, visto que, dos poucos trabalhos encontrados, percebeu-se que a maioria está voltada para outras áreas ou outros grupos populacionais.
