RESUMOINTRODUÇÃO: Doença de Parkinson (DP) é uma doença neurológica, crônica e progressiva, de causa idiopática, que atinge o sistema nervoso central e compromete os movimentos. Patologia típica do envelhecimento, apresenta maior incidência quanto maior é a faixa etária, na maioria dos pacientes, ela surge a partir dos 55 aos 60 anos e sua prevalência aumenta a partir dos 70 aos 75 anos. Comumente tratada de forma medicamentosa, mediante ao fármaco levodopa discutem-se novas formas terapêuticas. METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura integrativa, na qual foi realizada pesquisa nos portais eletrônicos do PUBMED, SCIELO e da BVS. Para as buscas, utilizaram-se os descritores: doença de Parkinson, parkinsonismo, tratamento não farmacológico. Como critério de inclusão, selecionaram-se artigos que publicados a partir de janeiro de 2014 até junho de 2020, nas línguas inglesa, portuguesa ou espanhola, enquanto critérios de exclusão descartaram-se duplicatas artigos que não adequassem ao recorte de análise. RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÕES: O estudo objetivou identificar as formas de tratamento multifatoriais e de reabilitação e obteve como resultado que a escolha terapêutica individualizada a cada paciente, atrelada às perspectivas nutricionais, ao exercício físico e à fisioterapia, e técnicas, tais quais a cinesioterapia domiciliar são estratégias de cuidado e da garantia da qualidade de vida nos pacientes com DP. A reabilitação funcional-cognitiva, foi verificada jogos e dispositivos a partir dos espaços virtuais, e por meio da aplicação da musicoterapia interligada à dança estimulou-se a cognição no domínio emocional, ao mesmo tempo que ofereceu benefícios no controle motor. Ademais, métodos alternativos, como a yoga, que uma vez adaptados a esses pacientes, auxiliam no alinhamento postural e dos movimentos. Assim, a assistência multiprofissional proporciona ao portador da doença uma melhora acentuada, de modo menos invasivo. CONCLUSÃO: Logo, a realidade que se vivencia no tratamento da DP é da farmacoterapia, aliada à reabilitação funcional pela intervenção fisioterapêutica, terapia ocupacional e à socialização integrada ao espaço virtual.
