O dimensionamento de estruturas está diretamente relacionado à magnitude das cargas que atuam na edificação. De forma a garantir estabilidade estrutural e segurança, as cargas de projeto precisam ser consideradas com precisão. O trabalho possui como objetivo a análise do impacto da especificação de elementos de vedação internos dos sistemas construtivos verticais na carga total da estrutura de um edifício, na etapa de projeto. Para tal, foram adotados 4 sistemas de vedação vertical – alvenarias (blocos de concreto, cerâmicos e blocos de concreto celular) e light steel frame –, com Rw entre 45 e 48 dB, e um projeto padrão de edifício residencial. Os dados de isolamento acústico foram obtidos através de ensaios de laboratório, de acordo com a ISO 10140-2:2010. Os resultados são apresentados pela relação entre a massa total das estruturas, verificando a variação entre elas. Os resultados mostram que as alvenarias de bloco de concreto e cerâmicos apresentaram massa total semelhante na estrutura, enquanto o sistema de bloco de concreto celular apresentou uma redução de cargas de aproximadamente 9%, quando comparado com o sistema de maior massa. No sistema de light steel frame essa redução foi de 18%.
