The objective of this study is to examine the syntactic structure of Awgni Noun Phrases. The assumption of Labeling Algorithm {XP, H} is holding on, and a descriptive research design was employed to explore the intended objective. Data for this research were enriched by interviewing 12 native speakers of Awgni specializing in the proposed language. Through expert samplings, 20 Noun Phrases were selected and illustrated. Results showed that the Noun Phrases in Awgni could be formed out of the head Nouns all along through other lexical categories reminiscent of the Noun Phrases, Adjective Phrases, Verb Phrases, Determiner Phrases, and Adverb Phrases. These grammatical items were serving as dependents to the head Nouns. The head Nouns in Awgni are for all time right-headed. These heads are the only obligatory constituents, while the Phrasal categories are optional elements which could be either modifiers or complements to the head Nouns. In this regard, Labeling Algorithm explicitly chooses the contiguous Noun heads that are the label of the complete Syntactic Objects (SOs) anticipated for all Noun Phrase structures.
The objective of this study was to explore factors that affect quality education in the Amhara region. A descriptive survey method, purposive and stratified random sampling techniques were used to examine research objective. Tools used in collecting data were questionnaire and focused group discussion. The finding showed that positive early experiences and interactions, disciplined school systems, providing an adequate number of teachers, access to toilets, availability of relatively suitable class sizes, welcoming schools boarding atmospheres, learner centered teaching practices , professional mobility and growth were strengths of schools in the region. However, violation conditions, professional inflexibility, incompatible teachers working conditions, irregularity of students’ class attending, lack of life skill curriculums, schoolsfacilities, shortage of instructional materials, clean water supply and not have ongoing trainings have negative impact on quality education. As a result, it is recommended that a further research on quality education, focusing specifically indicators that support a quality primary education.
The objective of this article was to look at the operation of Labeling Algorithm within Xamtanga sentences. A descriptive research design was used to examine research objective. The proposed sentences were gathered from Xamtanga college lecturers (3 males, 1 female) who teach the intended language. By expert sampling, 11sentences were chosen, prearranged and portrayed. The method of data analysis working in this research was Labeling Algorithm {XP, YP}. Thus, results designated that simple sentences in Xamtanga have barely single Verbal heads. On the other hand, compound, complex and compound complex sentence structures have more than one verbal heads. Regarding sentences appearances, Syntactic Object representations they enclose were dissimilar. Alternatively, every sentence types share Syntactic Object representations like Noun Phrase (NP), Verb Phrase (VP), Determiner Phrases (DP), Prepositional phrase (PP), Tense Phrase (TP), Adverbial Phrase (ADVP) and Adjectival Phrase (AP). Lastly, the study suggested that additional research on how {XP, H} and {X, Y} employed to explain Xamtanga sentences.
