Nachwuchsleistungssportler in Deutschland stehen in einer wichtigen Phase ihrer schulischen und sportlichen Entwicklung im Spannungsfeld einer doppelten Erwartung: Sie sollen sportlich und schulisch erfolgreich sein. Zur Entschärfung dieser Situation wurde im Jahr 2006 in Nordrhein-Westfalen ein eigenes Verbundmodell gestartet. Die "NRW-Sportschulen" verfolgen das Ziel, Sporttalente sowohl sportlich als auch schulisch optimal zu fördern und duale Karrieren von Schule und Leistungssport zu ermöglichen. Die Evaluation der NRW-Sportschulen setzt hier an und fragt, wie und mit welchen Effekten das Programm an den jeweiligen Standorten implementiert worden ist. Setzen die Standorte die ministeriellen Vorgaben für NRW-Sportschulen um? Welche schulspezifischen Organisationslogiken lassen sich festmachen? Trifft die NRW-Sportschule bei Schülern, Eltern, Lehrern und Trainern auf Akzeptanz? Wie zufrieden sind Akteure des organisierten Sports mit Strukturen und Prozessen an den jeweiligen NRW-Sportschulen? Welche Entwicklungen zeichnen sich speziell im Bereich sportlicher Talentförderung ab? Gelingt die duale Förderung? Die Evaluation der NRW-Sportschulen liefert eine Momentaufnahme, deren Ergebnisse rekursiv in den laufenden Prozess der Programmumsetzung einfließen.
Zusammenfassung
Verbundmodelle von Schule und Spitzensport wie die NRW-Sportschule sind als Netzwerke mit vielfältigen Akteuren und Erwartungen zu beobachten, in denen programmatische Zielvorstellungen in die Gestaltung und Durchführung von Maßnahmen und die Arbeit diverser Organisationen und Personen übertragen werden sollen. Die Herausforderung für eine zielgerichtete Steuerung des Netzwerks liegt deshalb in der Koordination des Handelns einzelner Personen und der Entwicklung systemischen Wissens sowie der Ermöglichung des Lernens des Netzwerks. Der Beitrag präzisiert das Problem der Steuerung im Verbund aus der Perspektive von Netzwerktheorie und Wissensmanagement. Empirische Erkenntnisse aus der Evaluation der NRW-Sportschule dienen als Anwendungsbeispiele der (möglichen) Bearbeitung dieser Herausforderung. Zugleich ist die Evaluation selbst als Steuerungsversuch des Netzwerks kritisch einzuordnen.
