El trabajo escrito es un artículo teórico de reflexión dentro del área de conocimiento económico sobre las características de Panamá, El Salvador y Ecuador. Esto con el interés de contestar: ¿Cómo ha sido la evolución de los países dolarizados de América Latina? El objetivo es indagar sobre su situación por medio de los principales indicadores, bajo la metodología caracterizada por ser una investigación con base a la descripción, con método inductivo, técnica cuantitativa. Se trabajó con datos secundarios del Banco Mundial y aplicando estadística descriptiva para el periodo anual de 2011 a 2020. La discusión se centra en que la dolarización se impone y no tienen fácil salida. Las conclusiones a las que se llegó son: 1) presentan evoluciones con características diferentes, propias y condicionadas a su posición geográfica, 2) obtienen dólares de sectores productivos diferentes y especializados, y 3) el régimen monetario de dolarización sirve como plataforma monetaria para competir en el mercado mundial, pero a costa de sacrificar la política monetaria.
El objetivo general que rige el presente trabajo es informar sobre el concepto, desventajas, ventajas, y aplicaciones de la flexibilización cuantitativa. La metodología utilizada fue el deductivo porque busca en los argumentos las bases para conocer y entender las relaciones entre los agentes involucrados en una flexibilización cuantitativa, y se dirige hacia lo inductivo por medio de la forma en cómo se aplicó en Ecuador. Al final se concluye que, sin moneda nacional, con un sistema financiero de carácter público, y con un banco central sin autonomía, es factible aplicar la flexibilización cuantitativa por parte del gobierno, porque ayudó a canalizar los recursos, por un lado a canalizarlos al crédito, y por otro lado a cancelar pagos atrasados.
El proceso de investigación en las ciencias sociales, cada día cobra más importancia en el mundo académico, porque desde sus polémicas, se han gestado históricamente los caminos para el desarrollo humano, así como las principales críticas a los aciertos y desaciertos de todos los procesos y sistemas sociales. El presente texto contiene las memorias del Primer Seminario Internacional de Investigación Doctoral en Ciencias Sociales y Humanísticas, desarrollado desde la Universidad Estatal Península de Santa Elena.
El objetivo del artículo busca describir el microcrédito en Ecuador, para contrastarlo con el desempleo y la pobreza, dado que se considera instrumento para la reducción de estos problemas económicos, con metodología que consiste en el método deductivo-inductivo, además es una investigación descriptiva y básica, con datos secundarios y longitudinales, sobre las variables microcrédito, pobreza y desempleo. Las conclusiones son: la naturaleza del microcrédito funciona con la lógica de generar ingresos por medio del emprendimiento, con presencia desde el año 2000 hasta el año 2007 bajo la modalidad de la iniciativa del Grameen Bank, sin embargo, la Constitución del Ecuador en 2008 reorganiza la administración estatal y la regulación se extiende al sector financiero, haciendo que aumenten los montos y líneas de crédito, microcrédito y costo del dinero, pero aun así los niveles de pobreza y desempleo se mantienen en niveles altos, agravados por la crisis sanitaria por la pandemia COVID-19.
