In this time of digitization and computerization, the life of individuals is getting more straightforward as nearly everything is programmed. This interconnection of the things can be used to help people with physical disabilities including paralysis. The brain signals of such people can be harnessed to create a home automation system. In this work, the concentration levels of such individuals are extracted using the EEG signals. These signals are then used to control the electronic devices. The designed system has been tested to operate the switching of an electric bulb using brain signals. This system can also be extended to assist a physically impaired individual to have effective control over electrical and electronic appliances and devices within a home.
With the advancements in newer electronic technologies, the need for power/battery charges has risen exponentially. Harvesting renewable energy, which can be subsequently be used to power these devices is the solution to the power consumption problem. In this work, we develop a piezo electric generator, which produces energy when a person walks on it or presses it with his/her feet. This energy or the power generated is then used to light up the LEDs mounted on the floor along with the piezo. The implemented work is cost effective and easy to implement.

Shone's complex and Cortriatriatum Sinister: A Rare Combination. ABSTRACTShone's complex is a Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), consisting of multiple levels of left sided obstructive lesions including supravalvular mitral membrane (SVMM), parachute mitral valve, subaortic stenosis and coarctation of aorta. Cortriatriatum sinister is a rare congenital defect in which a membrane divides LA into two distinct chambers. These two congenital malformations are rare and their occurrence together is still rarer. We report a 1 year 3 month old male baby with h/o failure to thrive, recurrent Respiratory Tract Infection & developmental delay. Presented with rarer combination of shone's complex and cortriatriatum sinister.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
