The study empirically investigates the impact of managerial competency and learning orientation on job performance of individuals working in the software industry of Pakistan. Social skills have been introduced as a moderator alongside entrepreneurial leadership which acts as a mediator in both relationships. The data from 384 respondents, collected through survey, was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS. The results suggested that managerial competency and learning orientation are positively related to job performance, and entrepreneurial leadership partially mediated the relationship of managerial competency and job performance, and learning orientation and job performance. Social skills moderate the relationship of managerial competency and job performance, while the moderating role of social skills was not found for the association of learning orientation and job performance. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first investigation of its kind, incorporating technical and behavioral aspects (social skills) in a single framework. The study contributes to the existing literature by analyzing the impact of aforementioned relationships in the Pakistani organizational context. The study may present vital insights for organizations to prioritize development of managerial competencies, learning orientation, entrepreneurial leadership and social skills for improved job performance.
The present study investigates the mediating role of team monitoring in intra-team trust and team effort relationships. Intra-team trust in luences coordination between team members, while team monitoring is a process to assess and evaluate team processes and performance. This research analyzes whether team monitoring in luences the trust-effort relationship in ongoing teams of organizations in Pakistan. A ield survey approach was used to test the research hypothesis. Data were collected from a sample of 100 team members and supervisors of 20 ongoing teams in organizations of different sectors. In order to explain the association between variables, the model was tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using AMOS. The indings showed that hypothesized model it reasonably well based on comparison it indices. The results show that team monitoring signi icantly in luences the relationship between intra-team trust and team effort for teams operational in chosen organizations. The study adds valuable insights to the existing literature on team dynamics by analyzing the aforementioned relationships in the South Asian organizational context.
This study aims to analyze the impact of corporate social responsibility on trust level of customers in the Islamic banking industry of Pakistan. The impact of trust is further studied on customers’ repurchase intentions and their word of mouth intentions. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from the customers of five different banks offering Islamic banking services in Pakistan. In order to explain the relationship between variables the model was tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using AMOS. Empirical results from this study show that CSR is positively related to customer trust, repurchase intentions and word of mouth intentions in the Islamic banking industry. The findings prove that hypothesized model fit reasonably well based on comparison fit indices. The study adds valuable insights to CSR related research in South Asia and particularly focuses on the factors that influence perceptions and behaviors of Islamic banking customers.
