Evolution of accidentology science, computer engineering and systems of data collection and processing has allowed in recent years, development of border areas that make the connection between life sciences and engineering. This paper tries to prove that this link exists and can be emphasized by using scientific instruments. In recent years, following the development of the automotive industry has increased the need for design and development of systems for testing biofidelity impact of vehicles, since the phase of the virtual model or prototype "zero", with visible effects in improving the safety of road users. In general, it is considered that the development of automotive mannequins to test different types of impact, will lead to continuous improvement of safety of the driver and passengers.
The present paper approaches some of the main problems that appear during the 3D printing manufacturing process of polymer based objects. Printed parts are not always functional due to many possible faults that appear with the 3D printing process. The paper content briefly presents five of the most common problems noticed in polymer printing. The causes and eventual solutions are described based on several experimental tests. The purpose is to analyze the parameter changes that affect quality of printed parts and to give the solutions for avoiding losses during manufacturing.
The processing of materials with a hardness greater than 55 HRC has always required the use of unconventional or grinding methods in order to obtain the quality and precision required by the technical conditions. For these reasons, the researches of the last decades have developed an unconventional method of processing, with great precision and precision, by assisting the classic processing techniques, with forced, unamortized, low amplitude ultrasonic vibrations. The present paper presents the results of some researches regarding the processing of extradural materials, by the assisted realization of the non-cushioned, low amplitude ultrasonic vibrations. It is demonstrated that this method of processing can obtain very fine surfaces, sometimes being able to replace the grinding, with much lower costs, in terms of energy consumption and tool wear.
One between fundamental problems of mechanical engineering are accordingly to available energy from nature after an adequate modification at a certain point where is using to generate a practical operation. Sonique theory establish by romanian scientist George Constantinescu is one of the method who permit this operation. This paper is demonstrating possibility for using mechanical power-transmission through sonique and ultrasonique waves in heating systems, in economic advantages conditions. Applications of this theory is to generate heat with sonique and ultrasonique waves, and pass over (send forward) through cold pipes, and heating only sonique resistance at wished place
Biomechanics is the science that uses mechanical equations in studying biological structures such as bones, muscles, ligaments, joints and other body structures. It is important in understanding the mechanism of injury to the cervical spine (C1-C7) and head bones. We developed a mathematical approach to mechanical behavior of cervical vertebrae and inter-vertebral discs, in terms of laboratory testing. The paper presents the mathematical model based on Lagrange equations for a frontal impact testing head-neck system. The steps for the solving these equations are exposed in the paper. These studies were combined with FEA and dynamic analysis for determination of constants, parameters, forces and functional relations. Results and conclusions were analyzed in the final of the paper.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
