O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar as evidências da manutenção de Abidos como centro do culto do deus Osíris no período greco-romano. Para tal, mobilizamos documentações escritas que abordam a perspectiva greco-romana acerca de Abidos e seus significados religiosos e funerários. Para enriquecer a discussão, elencamos documentos materiais e arqueológicos provenientes de Abidos, tais como estelas e sarcófagos. Defendemos que a continuidade do culto a Osíris na localidade demonstra a busca dos egípcios pela preservação de suas práticas religiosas diante de uma mudança de cenário político-cultural.
O objetivo desse artigo é analisar a produção de conhecimento histórico escolar através de ações pedagógicas fundamentadas na cultura material egípcia do Museu Nacional. Para tanto, selecionamos a estela de Uerhap-Renefsonb, que pertence ao acervo do Museu Nacional, localizado no Rio de Janeiro, utilizando como tema norteador a alimentação. Este tema foi privilegiado porque a alimentação é um ato cultural e histórico, carregado de peculiaridades, simbolismos e significados, presentes desde a sua produção até o seu consumo. Nosso estudo de caso foi uma turma do 3º ano do ensino fundamental de uma escola municipal da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O referencial teórico utilizado foi baseado na Educação Patrimonial e o procedimento metodológico aplicado foi o proposto pelo Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN), adaptado por Maria de Lourdes Parreiras Horta. Verificou-se a eficácia da ação pedagógica realizada no que diz respeito as fixação e apropriação do conhecimento sobre o tema trabalhado.
