Este texto tem como objetivo o estabelecimento da edição semidiplomática de um dos documentos da Coleção Alberto Lamego, pertencente ao Arquivo do Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros da Universidade de São Paulo (IEB/USP). O manuscrito relata uma instrução dada pelo rei a Agostinho José da Costa e Estácio Manuel de Aragão Carneiro, para que resgatassem escravizados que estavam presos no Porto de Tânger. O documento configura-se como uma rica fonte primária tanto para linguistas, como para historiadores e demais interessados no tema da escravidão no Império Português. Este artigo tem como objetivo pensar a influência do Teatro da Crueldade, de Antonin Artaud, na construção das corporeidades dos personagens em Cachafaz, de Copi. Para isso, serão levadas em consideração a divisão vida e morte presente na obra e as diversas repressões e tentativas de controle não só sobre o próprio corpo, mas também sobre o corpo do outro, o que gera uma violência que caminha entre o implícito e o explícito durante todo o enredo. Na peça é narrada a história do casal Cachafaz e Raulito, que são, respectivamente, um homem e uma mulher designada como homem ao nascer. O fato de a dupla não se encaixar nas sexualidades normalizadas parece ser um problema maior para
