O consumo de cosméticos tem adquirido novas vertentes de acordo com o progresso social e científico e o consequente maior acesso à informação. A busca por um estilo de vida sustentável formou o “consumidor verde”, responsável por estimular o reposicionamento de empresas em relação à formulação de produtos de beleza e a aplicação da sustentabilidade em seus modelos de produção, o que propiciou a criação dos “cosméticos verdes”, -que engloba os cosméticos orgânicos, naturais e veganos. O objetivo central deste trabalho foi realizar uma revisão sistemática da literatura acerca da tendência sustentável no desenvolvimento de cosméticos, considerando a utilização de ativos naturais na formulação de produtos e os desafios decorrentes do desenvolvimento de cosméticos e embalagens de forma sustentável; questões relativas à legislação e certificação desses produtos e o comportamento das empresas na execução de estratégias competitivas para acompanhar esse movimento. Para isso, a pesquisa foi realizada conforme as palavras-chaves em bancos de dados como Scielo, PubMed, ResearchGate e Google Acadêmico, além de publicações em periódicos relevantes do segmento de interesse. Com base nos dados apresentados neste estudo, evidencia-se que a considerada tendência se tornou uma prática sólida no setor de beleza, originando um mercado preocupado com seu desempenho ambiental frente aos novos desejos da sociedade; ainda assim, por permanecer em constante evolução, assim como seus consumidores, essa prática apresenta alguns obstáculos expressivos, fazendo-se necessária uma análise crítica a partir das considerações expostas.
Os cosméticos antipoluição vêm ganhando cada vez mais destaque no setor de beleza, representados principalmente por produtos multifuncionais que buscam proteger a pele dos efeitos da poluição ambiental e da eletropoluição. Para compreender o estabelecimento dessa categoria de produtos no mercado, é necessário fomentar o conhecimento científico acerca dos mecanismos envolvidos na interação poluentes-pele, o que contribui para o desenvolvimento de cosméticos de fato eficazes e seguros. O objetivo central deste trabalho foi, portanto, elucidar os efeitos negativos da poluição ambiental (com destaque para o material particulado) e da exposição constante à luz visível na forma da luz azul presente nas telas de eletrônicos, bem como evidenciar estratégias utilizadas em cosméticos antipoluição para minimizar esses danos. O estudo foi conduzido a partir de uma revisão de literatura utilizando o protocolo PRISMA como ferramenta metodológica para orientar as etapas de busca, identificação, seleção e análise de artigos. Nesse contexto, a pesquisa foi norteada conforme as palavras-chave e realizada com base nos dados das plataformas Google Acadêmico, Scielo, PubMed e ResearchGate. De acordo com os dados apresentados, conclui-se que a tendência antipoluição vem se tornando uma prática cada vez mais recorrente e firme no mercado de cosméticos, o que justifica a necessidade da compreensão dos fatores envolvidos nesse conceito.
