Este artigo busca compreender a relação entre o documentarista e o papel do testemunho como forma de lidar/combater o esquecimento em períodos de regimes políticos autoritários, neste caso, a Ditadura Civil Militar no Brasil (1964-1985). Para isso utilizamos os documentários Marighella (2012), Os dias com ele (2013) e Diário de uma busca (2010) e as entrevistas realizadas entre julho e agosto de 2020 com as diretoras dos respectivos filmes como objetos dessa discussão.
O movimento de perseguição e demonização da mulher conhecido como “caça às bruxas”, se estendeu entre o século XV e o século XVIII por toda a Europa. Essa perseguição contra as mulheres acusadas de praticarem bruxaria se intensificou especialmente após a criação do Tribunal do Santo Ofício, que funcionava como uma espécie de tribunal religioso que condenava todos aqueles que eram contra os dogmas pregados pela Igreja Católica ou que eram considerados uma ameaça às doutrinas cristãs. O objetivo desta dissertação, ainda em andamento, é mostrar como a perseguição da Igreja Católica associada à divulgação de imagens das indígenas tupinambás nuas influenciou a disseminação de estereótipos da mulher tida como bruxa má em panfletos na Europa no século XVI. Vamos utilizar as propostas de estudos sobre a imagem de Hans Belting e Norval Baitello Junior, além do método da polimagem de Isabelle Anchieta para analisarmos, a partir de imagens coletadas em meio online, a atuação da imprensa na construção dos estigmas relacionados ao corpo nu das mulheres tidas como bruxas. Esta dissertação busca evidenciar o fato de que, ao falarmos sobre a perseguição das mulheres tidas como bruxas, estamos contando também uma parte da história das mulheres e dos desafios enfrentados em sociedades patriarcais e misóginas.
