Efeito hepatoprotetor do caruru (amaranthus viridis) no desenvolvimento da cirrose hepática alcoólica experimental induzida por tioacetamida
Hepatoprotective effect of caruru (amaranthus viridis) on the development of experimental hepatic cirrhosis induced by thioacetamide
Este estudo teve por objetivo avaliar o efeito hepatoprotetor da rutina no desenvolvimento da cirrose hepática experimental induzida por Tioacetamida (TAA). Esta droga foi administrada intraperitonealmente 3 vezes por semana, durante 8 semanas. Foram avaliados 30 ratos machos da raça Wistar, divididos em 3 grupos, cada grupo com 10 animais: G1 (controle); G2 (TAA) e G3 (TAA + Rutina a 50mg/kg diluída em óleo de soja no volume de 100µL, no mesmo período). Foram realizadas avaliações da função hepática: alanina aminotransferase (ALT) e aspartato aminotransferase (AST), bem como análise histopatológica do fígado dos animais por método estabelecido pela Sociedade Brasileira de Hepatologia. As comparações entre os grupos foram feitas pela análise de variância de uma via (ANOVA) seguida de Teste de Tukey para as variáveis com distribuição normal e Teste de Kruskal-Wallis seguido de Teste de Dunn quando as variáveis apresentaram distribuição não-normal. O nível de significância foi de 5% (p<0.05). Em nosso estudo o grupo tratado com rutina apresentou efeito hepatoprotetor demonstrado pela ALT, maior ganho de peso, consumo de ração e aproveitamento nutricional. A rutina também foi eficaz em prevenir o desenvolvimento de nódulos cirróticos, mas não de infiltrado inflamatório e focos de necrose.
