Learning Analytics (LA) is a field that aims to optimize learning through the study of dynamical processes occurring in the students' context. It covers the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of data about students and their contexts. This study aims at surveying existing research on LA to identify approaches, topics, and needs for future research. A systematic mapping study is launched to find as much literature as possible. The 127 papers found (resulting in 116 works) are classified with respect to goals, data types, techniques, stakeholders and interventions. Despite the increasing interest in field, there are no studies relating it to the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) context. The goal of this paper is twofold, first we present the systematic mapping on LA and after we analyze its findings in the MOOCs context. As results we provide an overview of LA and identify perspectives and challenges in the MOOCs context.
A visualização é o processo de apresentar os resultados de um dado processo de extração ou de uma determinada busca, de forma a permitir que o usuário tenha acesso ao maior número possível de dados resultantes de uma pesquisa, de forma usável e clara. Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar uma ferramenta de visualização da informação para analisar o comportamento do aluno em um ambiente e-learning e explorar o conceito de trajetória de aprendizagem para ser incorporado futuramente na ferramenta. O objetivo da ferramenta é possibilitar que o professor compreenda melhor o comportamento de seus alunos frente ao ambiente e dê suporte a tomada de decisões em relação ao conteúdo pedagógico adaptado as necessidades dos alunos. Como resultado a ferramenta foi implementada e está em uso no ambiente AdaptWeb® (Ambiente de Ensino-Aprendizagem Adaptativo na Web).
Abstract. The disciplines of Programming Logic and Algorithms are inherent to several courses of exact sciences, such as Computer Science, Technologies, Mathematics, Civil, Mechanical, Production Engineering, etc. However, learning such contents is a hard task. In order to develop a quality material to teach Algorithms, the ADDIE model was used. This paper describes the process of planning, execution and evaluation of a short course, followed by the result of the students' satisfaction evaluation.
