This article deals with the management of the Amazon Biobusiness Center (CBA), which in 2023 became led by the Fundação Universitas de Estudos Amazônicos (FUEA). It aims to present to the scientific community and society in general some legal funding, as well as an analysis related to the new management of CBA as a Social Organization (SO). In an Amazonian context of biodiversity, the case of the Center is analyzed from a historical perspective. For that, the case study is used to verify that the difficulty of the CBA in emerging as a biobusiness center, based on biotechnology, had some roots in its old legal nature - whose change can bring some solutions to the case in question, without leaving to consider other obstacles that the management model per OS can flourish.
