StreszczenieW niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wieloaspektową analizę możliwości wykorzystania sprężonego gazu ziemnego (CNG) w transporcie miejskim w Polsce.Polska ma bardzo duży potencjał rozwoju transportu opartego na gazie ziemnym. Związane jest to między innymi z ceną tego paliwa, niską emisyjnością oraz jego dostępnością (wieloletnie umowy z dostawcami zewnętrznymi, wydobycie krajowe, w perspektywie gaz łupkowy). Jednocześnie, aktualne wykorzystanie gazu ziemnego w transporcie wynosi blisko 12 mln m 3 rocznie, co stanowi około 0,1% całkowitego zużycia gazu ziemnego w Polsce. Obecnie w kraju istnieje kilkadziesiąt stacji tankowania, z czego 29 jest dostępnych publicznie, a liczba pojazdów oscyluje w granicach 2500, w tym 310 to autobusy komunikacji miejskiej.W artykule przedstawiono korzyści związane z wprowadzeniem gazu ziemnego jako paliwa dla transportu miejskiego. Uwypuklono aspekty środowiskowe (zmniejszone emisje substancji szkodliwych) jak i uwarunkowania ekonomiczne. Przedstawiono przykłady wdrożonych dotychczas rozwiązań w wybranych miastach w kraju oraz dobre praktyki w rozwoju flot zasilanych CNG.Wykonano uproszczoną analizę finansową inwestycji w tabor miejski zasilany sprężonym gazem ziemnym oraz w stację tankowania CNG. Wykazała ona, że przy obecnych uwarunkowaniach inwestycja taka może być opłacalna.
