Single crystals of pure and L-glutamic acid doped zinc tris (thiourea) sulphate(ZTS) were grown from aqueous solution by slow evaporation technique. The grown crystals were subj ected to various studies such as FTIR, Powder X-Ray diffraction, second harmonic generation (SHG), UV-visible spectra and thermal analysis (TG-DTA). The FTIR study confirms the incorporation of L-glutamic acid into ZTS crystal. The enhancement of SHG efficiency was observed in doped ZTS crystal. The doped crystals are optically transparent and thermally stable.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
