The decay of 190Au.

The decay of 8.47 h 101Pd has been studied by use of large volume Ge(Li)-detectors and a high resolution 50 cm radius double-focussing beta-ray spectrometer. By combining measured internal conversion and gamma-ray intensities multipolarities for all prominent transitions were deduced from the conversion coefficients. Based on the assigned multipolarities a consistent level scheme of 101Rh has been constructed where spin-parity assignments are given for all but one level.

Internal conversion electrons and gamma-rays emitted in the decays of the neutron deficient gold isotopes with mass numbers 186--189 have been studied with a double focussing beta-ray spectrometer and a Ge(Li)detector. Multipolarities for the strongest transitions have been deduced. A revised level scheme for lS9pt is proposed. The haft-lives of 186Au, 188Au and 189Au are found to be (10.7__ 0.5), (9.0_+ 0.4) and (28.6_+ 1.0) minutes respectively.
