Dynamic s:tabil1ty of a divided winding rotor synchronous generator is determined by co-ordination of regulator parameters obtained by applying D-decomposition technique. Transient stability is evaluatfd by simulating faults 11ke (a) sudden 3-phase short circuit,~b) sustained loss of excitation in either 01' the field windings. Results are compared with the transient simulation made on the same generator equipped with regulators, as described by previous authors.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
