Während die HI‐Reduktion der Stilbendisulfochloride (IIa) wie im Falle des unsubstituierten Disulfochlorids unter Bildung der Titelverbindungen (III) und der Dihydroderivate (IV) verläuft, erhält man aus den Disulfochloriden (IIb) unter gleichen Bedingungen Gemische der Dithiole (V) mit den cyclischen Disulfiden (VI) (Ausb.‐Angaben unvollständig).
