Nano titania (nTiO 2) aggregated graphene oxide (GO) hybrid nanostructures were successfully prepared by employing 3-(Aminopropyl) triethoxysilane (APTES)-modified nTiO 2 as precursor material. The resulting self-assembled core-shell hybrid structure was observed to have hierarchical porous structure with nTiO 2 forming the core and GO forming the shell in accordance with transmission electron micrographs. The mechanical properties of the hybrid composites were compared with that of individual GO and nTiO 2 loaded systems and improved performance was observed. The incorporation
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
