The present study aimed to examine the mediating role of organizational learning in the relationship between knowledge management and organizational performance in HEIs, KP, Pakistan. Teachers working in the Universities were considered the sample (n=338) of the study. A structured questionnaire comprised items about research variables administered in order to collect data. Baron and Kennys (1986) four-step models applied through Preacher and Hayes (2013) Process macro as a data analysis technique. The current study results show that organizational learning acts partially mediates in the association between KM and OP. Moreover, enriching the literature on this understanding, the present study is also of value in managerial perspective as it helps increase higher education institutions (HEIs) knowledge on how to boost and enhance the performance of the organization by engaging in KM activities.
The current research study focus on investigating the model of leadership, its effectiveness and emotional intelligence level among the banking sector employees proposed by Badrui-Harun, Zainol, Amar and Sheri (2016). In order to get appropriate response data was obtained from banking sector employees located in Islamabad through random sampling technique. Total 600 questionnaires were distributed among the selected head office employees of different banks. After removing missing item constructs finally 390 questionnaires were used for analysis. Results indicate that direct relationship between transformational and transactional leadership with effectiveness and emotional intelligence was significant. That leads to acceptance of the hypothesis relating direct relationship among these variable. In the next stage mediating variables findings show that emotional intelligence fully mediate the relationship between transformational leadership style and leader's effectiveness, while EI partially mediate the relationship between transactional leadership and leader's effectiveness. Results also indicate that emotional intelligence acts as a good mediator between transformational leadership and leader effectiveness.
Current study is an attempt to highlight the connection of emotional intelligence with entrepreneurial intention directly as well as indirectly by taking in account entrepreneurial selfefficacy as a mediator. A sample of 352 final year business administration students from different universities (public sector) of KP, Pakistan is taken by the researcher. Questionnaire is used as data collection instrument whereas measures are adopted from previous literature for measuring present study variables. Reliability analysis for scale reliability, correlation analysis for testing relationships of variables and PROCESS macros (model # 4) for mediation analysis is employed by the researcher to get results. Results depicts a significant positive relationship among study variables. Researcher also find out that self-efficacy (entrepreneurial) mediates the association of entrepreneurial intention with emotional intelligence among final year business administration students.
The aim of the present study is to investigate the efficiency of domestic and foreign commercial banks of Pakistan over the period from the year 2009 to 2013 through the DEA technique (Data envelopment analysis). DEA estimates efficiency by the ratio of inputs (multiple) to outputs (multiple). For this purpose, the number of employees, deposits and fixed assets were used as inputs while Advances and Investments were taken as the outputs based on the intermediation approach. Two generic forms of DEA explicitly CCR and BCC were applied to work out technical and pure-technical efficiencies, respectively. Results offered significant information to make the decision about the efficiency of commercial banks. The study outcomes showed that foreign owned banks performed better against public and private owned banks in respect of all the efficiency measures throughout the period of study.
The present study is different from previous studies in several aspects. Firstly, two different major sectors (Textile & Sports exports) of Pakistan exports are chosen to calculate the impact of exchange rate variability on these specific sectors instead of taking aggregate exports. Secondly, the aim of the study is not only to calculate effect of exchange rate variability on two sectors exports but also to check either two different sectors are affected same or different with this variation. Thirdly, annual data is taken for all the variables to check the correlation and to examine the impact of exchange rate variability on exports. This research also views the short-run characteristics by which exports meet on their long-run balance. This research is important since it has effects for the selection of exchange rate program and performs of interchange rate plan. Our commercial goods can contend besides endure in the international industry, on offering uniform-playing arena. Another slowing aspect is the failing of controlling department’s involved to develop a quick return program of sales tax.Simple regression model is used to examine the impact of exchange rate variability on Textile and sports goods exports individually as well as on aggregate of these two sectors of Pakistani Export. Keywords: Exchange Rate, Textile Exports, Sports Goods Exports
