The waste issue in Indonesia, especially in metropolitan cities is an actual problem as an increasing volume of waste generation that can no longer be faced using the old paradigm by relying on a waste collecting system. Through the Public-Private Partnership scheme and supported by technological updates, the waste issue has slowly begun to unravel. Semarang Local Government, in the focus of improving the function of Jatibarang landfill, received a grant from the Danish Government in the construction of Landfill Gas facility which aims to convert waste into matena gas which is then converted into 0.8 megawatts of electrical energy in cooperation with the Semarang City Government through the Private-Public scheme as a supply electricity in Central Java DIY. This research is using a qualitative approach with descriptive type. The analysis technique for obtaining data are through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that through the Public-Private Prtnership scheme which is based on the principles of Private-Private Partnership, stakeholders are not only be able to provide but also get benefits at the same time if they can align their vision and implement the scheme in accordance with what has been determined. In addition, accuracy in implementation must also be considered in order to achieve the success of Public-Private Partnership.
