This study has been performed in order to determine the changes that women experience in their sexuality during pregnancy in Turkey. The sample consisted of 336 women. Data were collected using a questionnaire prepared by researchers. Percentages, mean calculations and Chi-square tests were used in statistical analysis of data. Of the women, 41.7% were in the 23-28 age group, and 35.7% of them had received information relating to their sex lives during pregnancy. Of the subjects, 38.1% had always enjoyed sexual intercourse before pregnancy but only 9.5% of the women always enjoyed sexual intercourse during their pregnancy. This study determined that the sex lives of a significant portion of women were negatively affected by their pregnancies. Therefore, the importance of providing sexual health consultations with health personnel within the scope of pre-natal care services was emphasized.
