Keeping track of employees' time and attendance is difficult and time-consuming task for the companies. Today many companies are performing the digital time and attendance systems that automatically track and process the data to improve their operations and save money. There are many alternatives for the time and attendance systems in the market and appropriate selection among them is not easy in the presence of multiple, usually conflicting, criteria. So this selection may be considered as a Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problem. In this paper, the new combined decision making approach based on Criteria Importance Through Inter criteria Correlation (CRITIC) and Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WAS-PAS) methods is used for the time and attendance software selection problem of the private hospital. The weights of the criteria are determined by CRITIC method and the alternatives are ranked by WASPAS method for finding the most suitable alternative. The novelty of this paper to the literature is to combine CRITIC and WAS-PAS methods for the first time.
The purpose of this study is to examine Interactive Fuzzy Linear Programming (IFLP) model by using Zimmermann, Werners, Chanas and Verdegay's approaches that provide best decision-making under fuzzy environments. In this study, it is used the method which can model the fuzzy structure of the real world and which operates with the decision maker interactively, which aims at obtaining the best solution by continuing this interactiveness in the solution process, which includes fuzziness with more realistic approach to the system. It is showed that the importance of fuzziness concept for IFLP problems, how it is applied on real-world problems and its effects.
Personnel assessment refers to any method of collecting information on individuals for the purpose of making a selection decision. Selection decisions include, but are not limited to, hiring, placement, promotion, referral and retention. Selecting qualified applicants is a critical step in building a talented and committed workforce, supporting an effective organizational culture, and enhancing the overall performance of the organization. In this paper three Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods, CRITIC (CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation), PSI (Preference Selection Index) and CODAS (COmbinative Distance-based Assessment), are applied to the personnel selection problem for a textile firm in Denizli. The weights of personnel assessment criteria are derived from CRITIC method and transferred to CODAS method. The ranking of alternatives are obtained from CODAS and PSI methods.
