The survey was conducted from late June to early July, , for the purpose of investigating students attitudes toward diet. The targets of this study were male students in the th grade and male students in the th grade of a private school in Sapporo.. The number of the junior high school students who answered they do not skip meals was higher than that of the high school students.
The purpose of this study was to clarify the characteristics of rice flour waffles by a comparison of the waffles made using rice flour and those made using wheat flour.The results are as follows. With regard to color tone, the brightness of the waffles made using the rice flour was observed to be higher than those made using the wheat flour. In terms of specific volume, the rice flour showed a lower value compared to the wheat flour. A sensory evaluation showed that the rice flour scored higher for smell, taste, moistness, chewiness, and overall evaluation, with a significant dif ference obser ved for the overall evaluation. The results of our clarification of the characteristics of waffles made using the rice flour indicated that rice flour could be used as an alternative to wheat flour.

The targets were students in the nd year of the junior high school and students in the nd year of the senior high school.. The rate of the junior high school students who answered they do not skip meals was higher than that of the high school students.. As for the food intake, foods that many students answered they eat at least once every day were mainly rice, dairy products and eggs.. Many high school students answered they want to lose weight , while many junior high school students answered they don t want to lose weight very much .. The rate of the junior high school students who answered they have never taken dietary supplements was higher than that of the high school students.. We can understand the comparison of dietary habits and health between junior high school and high school students, and observed that the junior high school student group, who skipped meals, had a high rate of picky eating.

A variety of building types and capacities were found which relate with staff's concepts of supporting. As a result of comparing with a child welfare facility, we found it important to prepare enough public spaces for talking with staff as well as user's single room for privacy. Also, it is required to choose appropriate room for each activity in order to realize the concept.
