Kurzfassung Im Werkzeugmaschinenbau kommen derzeit verstärkt neue Technologien zur Anwendung, um besondere Kundenanforderungen zu berücksichtigen. Der Einsatz von virtueller Realität ermöglicht dem Werkzeugmaschinenhersteller eine detaillierte und verkürzte Planung, bevor mit der realen Herstellung der Maschinen begonnen wird. Möglichst realitätsnahe 3D-Modelle sind dabei Voraussetzung für virtuelle Werkzeugmaschinen. Kundenspezifische Bearbeitungsprogramme lassen sich mit der realen CNC-Steuerung auflösen und fließen in die Steuerdaten der virtuellen Werkzeugmaschine ein. Für die Inbetriebnahme neuer NC-Programme beim Endkunden können virtuelle Werkzeugmaschinen ebenfalls effizient Verwendung finden. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird der Aufbau von solchen virtuellen Werkzeugmaschinen beschrieben.
Kurzfassung Die Digitale Fabrik wird heute in vielen Unternehmen für eine effiziente Planung und schnelle Anpassung einer zunehmend anspruchsvollen Produktion eingesetzt [1]. Mit Virtual Reality werden unter anderem im Planungsbereich neue Produktionsabläufe getestet und abgesichert. Grafische Animationen erhöhen die Transparenz für den Anwender. Augmented Reality nutzt diese Daten beispielsweise für die intuitive Unterstützung im Werkstattbereich. Durch mobile Endgeräte sind diese Informationen jederzeit verfügbar. Der Einsatz von durchgängigen Systemlösungen steigert den Einsatz von Augmented Reality in der Produktion.
Kurzfassung Virtuelle Realität ermöglicht eine sehr genaue und dynamische Einsicht in die Prozesse einer Werkzeugmaschine. Auch das Werkzeugmagazin und die dahinter liegenden Prozesse können mit dieser Technologie untersucht werden. Eine wesentliche Voraussetzung dafür sind maßgenaue 3D-Daten des virtuellen Werkzeugmagazins und der virtuellen Werkzeuge. Das Zusammenspiel zwischen der Werkzeugplanung, der realen Steuerung und dem Simulationssystem führt zu schnelleren Rückschlüssen und damit zu kurzen Span-zu-Span-Zeiten an der realen Maschine.
