AbstrakReumatoid artritis merupakan proses inflamasi kronis pada persendian yang menyebabkan destruksi progresif. Sitokin yang disekresikan akibat inflamasi kronis menyebabkan peningkatan jumlah sel fibroblas yang mensintesis matriks metallo-proteinase. Obat antiinflamasi non steroid yang diberikan untuk mengurangi gejala inflamasi memiliki berbagai efek samping sehingga diperlukan antiinflamasi alternatif yang dinilai berefek samping minimal seperti minyak ikan lemuru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan jumlah sel fibroblas jaringan ikat tikus model reumatoid artritis akibat lama pemberian minyak ikan lemuru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah true eksperimental dengan desain the randomized post test only control group design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah tikus galur sebanyak 24 ekor dan dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok. Hasil uji one way anova didapatkan p=0,004. Hasil analisis data Post Hoc LSD menunjukkan ada perbedaan signifikan pada pemberian minyak ikan lemuru selama 21 hari dengan signifikansi 0,038 dibandingkan dengan pemberian selama 7 hari. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan jumlah sel fibroblas jaringan ikat tikus model reumatoid artritis akibat lama pemberian minyak ikan lemuru selama 21 hari.
