Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations have become increasingly important in the business world. Companies are expected to operate responsibly and sustainably, and stakeholders are demanding greater transparency and accountability. Our research aims to examine the influence of determinants on ESG practices in ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam), as measured by ESG performance on the Refinitiv Eikon. Although there have been many studies discussing ESG, only a few have discussed this relationship by involving strategic orientation, risk taking and corporate life cycle simultaneously. We use panel regression based on a sample of 2373 observations from 2004 to 2022. The results show that the prospector strategy orientation encourages a greater increase in ESG practices compared to the defender strategy orientation, which means that companies with a prospector orientation are more willing to practice ESG because they have strategic resources. The increasing risk‐taking by companies will reduce ESG practices. The more mature the company's life cycle stage will improve ESG practices. This brings implications that the strategy orientation chosen by the company, risk‐taking, and corporate life cycle are the determining factors for companies implementing ESG practices in ASEAN countries. This research contributes to the literature related to corporate sustainability by considering ESG as one of the measurements of sustainability which is currently the main investment trend being observed in financial markets, especially ASEAN countries which are the best areas to invest.
This study is expected to determine the influence of the dimensions of quality of service which include assurance, reliability, tangible, empathy, and responsiveness to Balikpapan Polytechnic student satisfaction. The method used in this research is quantitative approach with explanatory research. The test data which is used include vaalidity test, reliability test, classicassumption test (multicollinearity, normality, heteroscedasticity), multiple linear regression, goodness of fit (F test, t test, the coeficient of determination). Population in this research is the students of Balikpapan Polytechnic. The sample used in this study was 90 respondents. The sampling technique is purposive sampling.The results of this study show that hypothesis 1 assurance variable, hypothesis 2 reliability variable, hypothesis 3 tangible variables, hypothesis 4 empathy variable, hypothesis 5 responsiveness variable, indicate signifant value which is smaller than α = 0.05 and is proven by F-calculate> F-table. The results show that Ho is refuted and Ha is supported. It can be said that partial variable quality of service that include assurance, reliability, tangible, empathy, and responsiveness has a positive and significant impact on student satisfaction. Simultaneous test results that have been done show that empathy and tangible variables have a dominant influence on student satisfaction.
The need for electrical energy is a basic requirement besides the need for food and clothing, electrical energy is absolutely needed by the community to support all their daily activities. The purpose of carrying out community service activities is to provide an alternative source of electrical energy by utilizing solar cell panels which can be felt by the public in the form of DC voltage and AC voltage through an inverter device. The method applied in this service activity is to set a plan in the form of a system work diagram and then carry out the service activities in accordance with the work plan that was made previously. The results obtained are the availability of lighting facilities and electrical energy to start the pump so that it can meet the lighting needs and water needs of the orphanage.
Pengelolan buah naga menjadi produk-produk yang khas dan memberikan manfaat secara ekonomi bagi masyarakat yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani warga Karang Joang RT 19 KM 12 Balikpapan utara sudah cukup lama namun kelompok ini masih belum memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang bagaimana memasarkan produk yang mereka hasilkan dengan tepat sehingga mereka dapat mengenalkan produk mereka kepada masyarakat dan meningkatkan penjualan produknya.Berdasarkan hasil observasi permasalahan mitra pada kelompok tani warna Karang Joang RT 19 dapat diidentifikasi sebagai berikut: 1) Bagaimana memasarkan produk agar lebih dikenal oleh masyarakat luas baik melalui media offline maupun menggunakan media sosial, 2) Bagaimana desain produk agar masyarakat mengenal hasil olahan buah naga.Solusi yang ditawarkan berdasarkan uraian permasalahan mitra yang sedang dihadap diantaranya yaitu: 1) Pembekalan pengetahuan dasar tentang pemasaran, 2) pendampingan pemasaran baik secara offline mau menggunakan media sosial.
