Economic growth leads to with increased prosperity with increasing of income levels of people living in a country. Economic development involves social and cultural developments in the economy along with prosperity. Entrepreneurship which is involved in factors of production, labor, capital and technology and brings them together and it takes risks and assess opportunities has an important role in economic growth and development. The basic elements of a country's economic development are individuals who have an entrepreneurial spirit. They are driving force of growth and prosperity. The impact on entrepreneurs' on economic development can be associated with their inventions / scientific research and invention through their innovations, the ability of adaptation innovations, by way of competition raise efficiency, providing employment, making business opportunities and their increasing of production and commercial activities where they are established. In the economies, entrepreneurs increase profits in terms of production volume, stimulating competition and in parallel with leads to the decline prices. In this context, the country's economic growth and development, remaining prosperity affects well-being and quality of life of individuals, their economic prosperity and their social and cultural development. In this study, the role and importance of entrepreneurship in a country's economic growth and development and socio-economic development will be examined in the context of various parameters and in terms of these parameters the relationship between entrepreneurial activity and economic growth will be highlighted.
At the present time, with rapid increase of population and besides increase of consumption, misusage of resources, environmental pollution and climate changes, a lot of environmental problems are occurring and will continue to occur. In this respect, the businesses and especially the marketing function have important responsibilities on prevention of those factors which affect the sustainable development and consequently on providing sustainable development. Some of those businesses aim to increase their competitive power by using recyclable materials, reusing of packages and by using energy saving applications at production processes whereas the others aims to use the anxiety of the consumer segment, who are sensitive to environment and people’s health as a tool of differentiation. As a result, in spite of the increase on demand of environmentally friendly products, as from 1990’s neither at the number of businesses who apply strategies, nor the number of consumers who are interested on environmentally friendly products reached to expected level. However, the main problem here is not just the existence of businesses that are far from ethical and social responsibility, at the same time, it is based on whether the strategies that the businesses who act with social responsibility conscious are as supporter of sustainable development. The aim of this study is to suggest the marketing strategies and applications which can be applied for understanding how marketing can contribute to sustainable development and explaining its role in the development of sustainability.
Today, environmental economics examining the economic contribution of protecting the environment and natural resources and preventing the environmental pollution has become an important issue like energy. In this context the relationship between economy and environment is analyzed. In this relationship process of economy management change the environment and environmental qualifications take part in success of economy. Sustainable development, as an another important concept, explains realization of the efforts for economic growth and enhancing the welfare level in the meantime protecting the environment and people’s quality of life. Sustainable development has great importance for managing environmental, economic and social resources accurately. E-waste (electronic waste) management comes to the forefront in the context of environmental economics and sustainable development. Along with technological advancements and changing consumption habits e-waste management and e-waste recycling become crucial. While there are several related studies focus on waste management and recycling and their relationship between environmental economics and sustainable development few study deal with e-waste management. This study aims to fill this gap and make a contribution with emphasizing the importance of e-waste management for environmental economics and sustainable development. In this study e-waste practices in the World are evaluated, recycle ratios and their economic impact are examined, e-waste management’s importance as a financial trigger is emphasized, not only short term but also long term effects of e-waste management are elaborated from the point of sustainability and suggestions are discussed for improving the recycling processes for practitioners and law-makers.
