Measles and rubella are two infectious diseases that are very contagious. Just like a disease causedby a virus in general, both of these diseases have no treatment, but can be prevented by immunization. Toddler mortality rate in the world reaches 34/1000 live births caused by various diseases that can actually be prevented by immunization. This study aimed to determine the description of knowledge and mother’s attitude about measles rubella (MR) in toddlers at the public health center Tahtul Yaman Jambi city year 2019. This is a descriptive research. It was conducted on August 19-23 2019. Populations were all off toddler’s mother at the public health center Tahtul Yaman as many as 992. Samples were 42 respondents by using accidental sampling technique. The collecting of data used a questionnaire. It analyzed as univariate. The findings were obtained that most of respondents did not provide MR immunization for toddlers as many as 71%. Most of respondents have enough knowledge as many as 55%. Most of respondents have positive attitude as many as 60%. This study can be concluded that most of respondents did not provide MR immunization for toddlers, has sufficient knowledge and a positive attitude. Health personal at the public health center should make a schedule of counseling, information and education about MR immunization by using media that is interesting and easily understood by the community especially toddler’s mothers. The public health center should cooperate with the department of religion, community leaders and religious leaders to work together in synergy to disseminate information and information about the importance of MR immunization
According to World Health Organization (WHO), there are 1.5 million children die every year from diseases that can actually be prevented by immunization. From 194 WHO member countries, 65 of them have diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus (DPT) immunization coverage below the global target of 90%. The high incidence of DPT in Indonesia makes the government try to do advanced DPT (Booster) immunization, because DPT immunization (Booster) is important in an effort to maintain high levels of immunity so that it can provide optimal protection. This study aimed to determine the description of knowledge and mother’s motivation that have toddler about giving advanced DPT immunization (Booster) at the public health center Simpang IV Sipin Jambi city year 2019. This is a descriptive research. It was conducted on August 10th – 16th 2019 at the public health center Simpang IV Sipin. Populations were all of mothers who have toddlers period January – May 2019 as many as 1737 mothers. Samples were 79 respondents by using Accidental Sampling technique. The instruments used a questionnaire. Data analyzed as univariate. From 79 respondents, most them have lack of knowledge as many as 44.35 respondents. 50.6% respondents have high motivation. Most of toddlers did not get advanced DPT immunization (Booster) as many as 82.3%. This study can be concluded that most of respondents have lack of knowledge, high motivation and most of toddlers did not get advanced DPT immunization (Booster). The health personals should provide counseling to toddler’s mothers that can be done when visiting to toddlers Posyandu and also can provide information on patients visiting the public health center so that mothers can do advanced immunizations (Booster).
Menurut World Health Organization (WHO), ada 1,5 juta anak mengalami kematian tiap tahunnya oleh penyakit yang sebetulnya bisa dicegah dengan imunisasi. Dari 194 negara anggota WHO, 65 di antaranya memiliki cakupan imunisasi difteri, pertusis dan tetanus (DPT) di bawah target global 90%. Tingginya angka kejadian DPT di Indonesia membuat pemerintah berupaya melakukan imunisasi DPT Lanjutan (Booster), karena imunisasi DPT Lanjutan (Booster) penting dilakukan dalam upaya mempertahankan tingkat kekebalan agar tetap tinggi sehingga dapat memberikan perlindungan dengan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gambaran Pengetahuan Dan Motivasi Ibu Yang Memiliki Balita Tentang Pemberian Imunisasi DPT Lanjutan (Booster) di Puskesmas Simpang IV Sipin Kota Jambi Tahun 2019. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 sampai 16 Agustus 2019 di Puskesmas Simpang IV Sipin. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang memiliki balita periode Januari - Mei 2019 sebanyak 1737 ibu. Sampel dipilih secara Accidental Sampling berjumlah 79 responden. Instrument penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dengan cara pengisian kuesioner. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis univariat. Dari 79 responden sebagian besar memiliki pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 44.3% responden. Sebagian memiliki motivasi tinggi sebanyak 50,6% responden. Sebagian besar balita tidak mendapatkan imunisasi DPT Lanjutan (Booster) sebanyak 82.3%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki pengetahuan yang kurang, motivasi yang tinggi dan sebagian besar balita tidak melakukan pemberian Imunisasi DPT Lanjutan (Booster). Sebaiknya petugas kesehatan memberikan konseling dan penyuluhan kepada ibu balita yang dapat dilakukan pada saat melakukan kunjungan posyandu balita dan juga dapat memberikan informasi agar ibu dapat melakukan imunisasi Lanjutan (Booster).
