Sistemas Fotovoltaicos Conectados à Rede Elétrica (SFVCR) promovem em centros urbanos a geração distribuída de energia elétrica a partir de uma fonte renovável e ilimitada, o Sol. O incentivo a utilização da energia solar no mundo e no Brasil atende a uma demanda ecológica para redução dos gases do efeito estuga (GEE) que contribuem com o aquecimento global e mudanças climáticas. O Estado do Paraná possui um grande potencial fotovoltaico de geração quando comparados os dados de incidência de irradiação solar (kWh/m².ano) a outros estados do Brasil, países da Europa, Ásia, América do Norte e Oceania. Inserido no campus da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR), em Curitiba, o Escritório Verde (EV) é um edifício projetado dentro dos princípios das construções sustentáveis, instalando 2.100 Watts no modelo SFVCR. Este trabalho analisa dados e parâmetros da operação deste sistema fotovoltaico ao longo dos anos de 2012 a 2018, onde foi avaliada a eficiência energética, desempenho e benefícios ambientais associada ao uso de um veículo elétrico e uma projeção de redução de emissão de CO2 se este modelo fosse instalado em larga escala na cidade de Curitiba.
