RESUMOObjetivou-se avaliar o desenvolvimento de mudas de alface crespa sob ação de diferentes doses de fertilizante organomineral no substrato. O delineamento foi inteiramente casualizado com cinco tratamentos (0, 10, 20, 40 e 80 g de fertilizante kg -1 de substrato) com quatro repetições. O experimento foi realizado em ambiente de produção de mudas durante 25 dias, em bandejas de poliestireno de 200 células, em que se utilizou para análise, 10 plantas centrais de cada repetição. Foi avaliada a massa fresca da parte aérea e de raiz, massa seca da parte aérea e de raiz, número de folhas totais, e índice de qualidade de Dickson (IQD). Os resultados da utilização de fertilizante organomineral na produção de mudas apresentaram efeitos significativos pela análise de regressão, ocorrendo o efeito quadrático para todas as variáveis analisadas. Pode-se concluir que a dose de 51,88 g kg -1 de substrato foi a que apresentou os melhores resultados. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Lactuca sativa, fertilização, organominerais.
