O Brasil é o maior produtor e exportador de café do mundo, o segundo país com maior consumo de café (USDA, 2020) e a sua cadeia produtiva abrange mais de 8 milhões de empregos (Rank Brasil, 2014). Diante da representatividade desta cadeia nas atividades do agronegócio e na economia brasileira, torna-se necessário o aprimoramento de estratégias competitivas e de gestão em seus diferentes elos que possibilitem o desenvolvimento econômico, social e sustentável das suas atividades. Sendo assim, o objetivo com este artigo foi analisar a produção científica sobre a cadeia produtiva do café, na área de Administração no Brasil, a fim de identificar contribuições do ponto de vista de estratégia e gestão, além de lacunas de pesquisa. Para tanto, utilizou-se a revisão bibliométrica abrangendo o período de 2007 a 2019. Como resultados, foram identificados e analisados 116 trabalhos entre artigos, teses e dissertações com destaque para os principais temas estudados que são: boas práticas, gestão, consumo, internacionalização e estratégia, analisados sobre o enfoque de: mercado, região, consumidor e indústria. Conclui-se que esta revisão contribuiu para a mapear os temas estudados e esferas de análise, bem como para o avanço da discussão na perspectiva de gestão de diferentes elos da cadeia produtiva do café, com sugestões para uma agenda de pesquisa.
