Resumo O presente artigo visa a cotejar os pressupostos epistemológicos da Análise Materialista de Discurso com as críticas epistemológicas de Paul Feyerabend e o paradigma indiciário do historiador Carlo Ginzburg. Passando pelas relações entre Estado, ciência, subalternidade e materialismo, identifica proximidades entre as abordagens de Michel Pêcheux em torno das exceções, e de Ginzburg em torno do excepcional. Discute o lugar das evidências e dos procedimentos contraindutivos na prática científica, assim como o pluralismo metodológico dos estudos históricos, pontuando diversos cruzamentos entre as investigações dos historiadores, o anarquismo epistemológico de Feyerabend e os procedimentos de análise discursiva estabelecidos por Pêcheux e outros analistas, como Eni Orlandi e seu conceito de recorte discursivo. Partindo das implicações deste conceito, o artigo traz os resultados da análise do depoimento de um diretor do sindicato dos rodoviários da Bahia, contrário à liberação das roletas dos ônibus durante uma greve da categoria.
ResumoNo presente artigo, buscamos analisar de que forma, o Ethos, o Páthos e o Lógos, elementos da tríade retórica, foram construídos, no filme - Tempo de Matar -, de John Grisham. Utilizamos alguns pressupostos teóricos da teoria da argumentação, tendo por base à retórica e a concepção de ethos postulada por Maingueneau e algumas noções postuladas pela Nova Retórica de Perelman e Olbrechts-Tyteca. A partir das reflexões, é possível perceber como a retórica tem importância no espaço midiático e como argumentação persuasiva circula nas relações discursivas.Palavras-chaveEthos. Páthos. Lógos.
