All Taekwondo UKM students are required to have good physical fitness. Because the exercise contains a lot of physical elements, so Taekwondo UKM students are required to have good stamina and fitness. One example of activities that are mandatory and cannot be refused by students is running. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of physical fitness of male taekwondo UKM students at Mercu Buana University Yogyakarta. This research is a descriptive study, in this study the researcher only wants to describe the current situation without testing the hypothesis. The instrument and data collection technique used was a 12-minute running test from Kenneth Cooper. The data obtained are then converted to the Kennet Cooper table to find out the category of physical fitness level. Data result VO2Max UKM Taekwondo Mercubuana Yogyakarta is classified as sufficient criteria / category with an average value of 39.5. While the lowest value is 32.3 and the best value is 51.3. With the known VO2 Max status, it can be concluded that the physical condition of UMBY Taekwondo UKM members is sufficient, and still needs to be improved.
The sports activity of badminton and responses to changes in blood uric acid at productive age AbstractThis study aims to determine whether there was a response to changes in uric acid levels due to the physical activity of badminton. The design of this study is a quasi-experimental. The sample used in this study was eight respondents with certain criteria. Treat physical activity twice on different days with 4 measurements of uric acid levels. The method of this study is repeated measure analysis. When subjects are measured repeatedly, requiring fewer subjects per experiment, then repeated measures analysis can be used. The results showed that the treatment of badminton had a significant effect on changes in uric acid levels with a probability value of 0,038. These results were obtained by using the Greenhouse-Geisser test where the assumptions of normality and homogeneity were satisfied. From the marginal test results using pairwise comparisons, there was a significant difference in the average uric acid levels at 15 minutes after exercise and 9 hours the following day, where there was a decrease of 1.169 mg/dl. Badminton can reduce uric acid levels, which is indicated by a decrease of 0.15 mg/dl at 09.00 the next day compared to before exercise. Marginally, this decrease is not statistically significant, but regular badminton can be an option for physical activity for those who want to reduce uric acid levels.
This study aims to determine the relationship between arm muscle strength, leg muscle strength, arm power and leg power on the 25 meter crawl style swimming achievement. This research is a correlational research. The subjects of this study were all members of the swimming club Tirta Serayu Banjarnegara totaling 11 respondents. Data collection techniques using surveys. Data collection techniques using tests and measurements. The instruments used in this study were Hand grip dynamometer, Leg and Back dynamometer, modified spring scales, vertical jump, and 25 meter crawl style swimming.
