Sarcasm is a term that refers to the use of words to mock, irritate, or amuse someone. It is commonly used on social media. The metaphorical and creative nature of sarcasm presents a significant difficulty for sentiment analysis systems based on affective computing. The methodology and results of our team, UTNLP, in the SemEval-2022 shared task 6 on sarcasm detection are presented in this paper. We put different models, and data augmentation approaches to the test and report on which one works best. The tests begin with traditional machine learning models and progress to transformer-based and attention-based models. We employed data augmentation based on data mutation and data generation. Using RoBERTa and mutationbased data augmentation, our best approach achieved an F1-sarcastic of 0.38 in the competition's evaluation phase. After the competition, we fixed our model's flaws and achieved an F1-sarcastic of 0.414.
This study aims to reduce energy consumption by application of geothermal heat pumps in residential buildings and reduction of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) emissions under Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project. In this approach, the required thermal load of a typical four-floor 12-units residential building located in Tehran city has been considered and calculated separately based on the actual operational data. According to the thermal properties of soil and the annual average temperature of the area, the appropriate geothermal heat pump system has been taken into consideration. Subsequently, three scenarios based on transaction of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) as Primary, Secondary and Unilateral types of CDM projects were created considering the primary costs of purchase and installment of geothermal heat pump system and its electricity consumption. Technical, economical and environmental feasibility study of this project has been assessed through using Proform software in three different scenarios based on global carbon credit market. The results show that in the optimum scenario in case of replacing the boiler system with vertical geothermal heat pump system in the residential building, could conserve 67,000 GJ of natural gas during the project implementation period and 3,759 tons of COR 2 R equivalent emissions would be reduced. Results demonstrate also the favorable economic and environmental impacts that can be achieved by CDM.
Background: Neospora caninum is a cyst forming coccidian parasites and one of the important factors in abortion of cows and neurologic disease in dogs around the world. This study was conducted to investigate the seroprevalence of N. caninum in dairy cows of Tabriz city using immunofluorescence method and related risk factors. Methods: In this study conducted in 2018, 100 samples from industrial cattle farms and 100 samples from traditional cattle farms of Tabriz were randomly collected. By fixing tachyzoites cultured in a culture medium, the kit was prepared in this study and the slides were examined by fluorescence microscopy (Zeiss). The results obtained in relation to the study variables (type of farming system, age, contact with dogs, and abortion history) were analyzed using SPSS software and chi-square test. Results: Neospora caninum antibodies were detected in 33 samples (16.5%). The relationship of positive serums with abortion and contact with dogs was significant statistically (P<0.05). Conclusions: Due to the significant relationship of infection rate in cows with abortion history and contact with dogs, further studies are needed to determine the exact role of Neospora in abortion of cows.
