Резюме. Целью нашего исследования является изучение стоматологической заболеваемости на примере обследования представителей городского населения. Установление пораженности карие-сом зубов взрослого городского населения Чеченской Республики и выявление связи с концентра-цией фтора в питьевой воде, а также с возрастом и местом проживания. Методы. В исследовании участвовали (случайная выборка) 600 человек в возрасте от 20 до 60 лет, родившихся и постоянно проживающих в различных городах Чеченской Республики. При сборе материала использовалась карта для систематического наблюдения за полостью рта, в которой указывали зубы, пораженные кариесом, запломбированные, имеющие показания к удалению и удаленные по поводу осложнений кариеса. Содержание фтора в питьевой воде определяли в Республиканской СЭС потенциометри-ческим методом по методике Государственного стандарта «Вода питьевая» (ГОСТ 4386-81). Ре-зультаты. Распространенность кариеса среди городского населения Чеченской Республики до-вольно высокая. В возрасте 20-29 лет она достигала 94,4%, увеличиваясь с возрастом, достигая в старших возрастных группах 100%. Полученные результаты можно в значительной степени объяс-нить различным содержанием фтора в питьевой воде в обследуемых городах. Заключение. Про-веденные стоматологические обследования городского населения Чеченской Республики, прожи-вающего в одинаковых природно-климатических условиях, позволяют нам отметить, что потреб-ность в лечебно-профилактической помощи по основным стоматологическим заболеваниям, таким, как кариес зубов, довольно высокая. Все это требует принятия безотлагательных мер по улучше-нию стоматологической помощи населению в обследованных городах.
