Using the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics model, we study the effect of charge asymmetry and isospin-dependent cross section on different aspects of elliptical flow. Simulations are carried out for the reactions of 124 z 1 X n + 124 z 1 X n , where z 1 = 47, 50, 53, 57, and 59 and 40 z 2 Y n + 40 z 2 Y n , where z 2 = 14, 16, 18, 21 and 23. Our study shows that the elliptical flow depends strongly on the nature of the cross section. Transition energy, on the other hand, is unaffected by the neutron content.
Using the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics model, we study the effect of charge asymmetry and isospin-dependent cross section on nuclear stopping and multiplicity of free nucleons and light mass fragments. Simulations were carried out for the reactions 124 X m + 124 X m , where m varies from 47 to 59 and for 40 Y n + 40 Y n , where n varies from 14 to 23. Our study shows that nuclear stopping depends strongly on the isospin of the cross section.
Abstract:The yield of projectile like fragments (PLFs) has been measured in the reactions of 16,18 O with 164 Dy and 208 Pb targets at energies above the Coulomb barrier. The experimental data are analyzed to ascertain the role of projectile structure on the multinucleon and cluster correlations in transfer reactions. The variation of transfer probability with the number of nucleons transferred from the projectile to the target nucleus at the grazing angle has been investigated for both the systems. In the case of O nucleus on multi-particle transfer reactions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
