In this article the regulations and policy about S and Ncontaining compounds in fuels, the general information about methods of desulfurization (DS) and denitrogenation (DN) and ionic liquids (ILs) assisted DS and DN are considered. We presented the most effective and novel methods of sulfur and nitrogen compounds removal using ILs from model and real fuels.

In this review article, we present the latest research in the field of ionic liquids containing biologically active anions and cations, their potential application in the field of agrochemistry and agriculture. The article describes examples of
the use of ionic liquids as herbicides, fungicides, antimicrobial agents, deterrents and plant growth stimulants. It also indicates the advantages and disadvantages of using of ionic liquids, such as their multitasking, toxicity, thermal stability and
solubility in water in comparison with commercial chemicals. Readers will find in the article the prospects for the use of
ionic liquids in agriculture, as well as the high value of using ILs as multifunctional biologically active substances.
Ionic compounds have been of global interest since stepping into a mature field of research. The aim of this study was to synthesize novel and known ionic compounds via the N‐alkylation process and fully characterize them by elemental analysis and infrared (IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Investigation of the influence of the alkyl chain length and the charge of the cation on the ecotoxicity of 11 new and known ionic compounds based on tolperisone, diphenhydramine and trimecaine was investigated with the use of luminescence inhibition assay. To give information about the ecotoxicity of these new ionic compounds, the acute toxicity dataset of each compound was determined using Aliivibrio fischeri bacteria as a biomodel. According to the obtained results, the studied compounds could be considered non‐harmful to Aliivibrio fischeri. A quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR) study was carried out with the aim of modelling the observed behaviour and providing a prediction basis for ecotoxicity towards Aliivibrio fischeri.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
