The importance of evapotranspiration for environmental monitoring: a comparison using the Sebal/Metric and Super tools in the Brígida River Hydrographic Basin, Pernambuco Abstract Evapotranspiration is a phenomenon that plays a fundamental role in the hydrological cycle and depends on soil use and management, climatic conditions and vegetation characteristics. Within this context, evapotranspiration has been quantified using several technologies, through models and algorithms that verify the achievement of evapotranspiration. Thus, in this study, images from the Landsat 8 Satellite, algorithms and models developed on the SUPer and EEFLUX platform were used, aiming to compare the evapotranspiration obtained through these platforms from the simulation in a hydrological model for the hydrographic basin of the river Brígida, in the state from Pernambuco, in which the results showed that the estimation of real evapotranspiration through EEFLUX and SUPer are two favorable ways to obtain data on this variable for hydrological studies in watersheds, acting with interfaces that simplify more robust models and make applications more simple in the state of Pernambuco.
