A operação ótima de um sistema de distribuição de água consiste na determinação de regras operacionais que forneçam a maior eficiência hidroenergética do sistema. Neste trabalho, foram estudados três objetivos considerados mais promissores para análise dessa eficiência, os quais são representados por funções objetivo: (i) minimização de perdas por vazamentos de água, (ii) redução do custo de energia elétrica do volume bombeado, e (iii) maximização da confiabilidade do sistema em atender aos padrões de demanda. O modelo proposto foi construído mediante integração computacional do algoritmo evolucionário multiobjetivo SPEA e do simulador hidráulico EPANET 2. A aplicação do modelo mostrou-se promissora, pois os resultados obtidos demonstraram que podem ser produzidas estratégias operacionais que reduzem o custo de energia elétrica e a quantidade de vazamentos na rede de distribuição de água, e, ao mesmo tempo, não comprometem a confiabilidade desse sistema hídrico.
RESUMO Neste trabalho foi desenvolvido um modelo multiobjetivo para otimização da operação de sistemas de distribuição de água (SDAs), visando alcançar a eficiência hidroenergética considerando três objetivos: redução das perdas por vazamento; redução do custo de energia elétrica no bombeamento; e maximização da confiabilidade do sistema. O modelo de otimização foi concebido pela implementação de uma rotina computacional entre os algoritmos genéticos NSGAII e SPEA e o simulador hidráulico EPANET. O modelo foi aplicado a um SDA hipotético e demonstrou ser adequado para gerar um conjunto ótimo de regras operacionais. Dentre as soluções geradas pelos dois algoritmos, constatou-se que a diminuição do custo de energia elétrica no bombeamento não implicou, necessariamente, redução das perdas por vazamentos, ou seja, os dois objetivos podem ser conflitantes em SDAs caracterizados pela presença de reservatórios internos.
O processo de infiltração é um dos assuntos mais complexos de comportamento da água no solo, sendo imprescindíveis estudos de aspectos geotécnicos, assim como a realização de diversos tipos de ensaios para propor alternativa de estrutura de drenagem de água pluvial no meio urbano. Considerando a importância desses aspectos, este estudo teve como objeto identificar a área de influência do escoamento superficial na área de ocupação urbana do Córrego Pindaíba, localizado nas coordenadas geográficas S0677568 e W8148932, bem como a taxa de infiltração básica e as características granulométricas do solo. A metodologia utilizada consistiu na realização de ensaios de infiltração in situ na região do Córrego Pindaíba pelo método da cava e a caracterização de aspectos granulométricos do solo. Buscou-se com essa pesquisa a taxa de infiltração básica dos 15 pontos ensaiados da área de estudo resultando no valor máximo de 346,15 mm.h-1 e mínimo de 15,17 mm.h-1, sobretudo a caracterização do solo, predominantemente arenoso, fato constatado pela rápida infiltração da água no solo e consequentemente redução do escoamento superficial. Conclui-se que o solo da região estudada, em grande parte, possui boa capacidade de infiltração. Dependendo do método e das diferentes características naturais do solo, a infiltração poderá diferenciar mediante alterações ocasionadas pelo manejo e uso do solo.
