Budidaya bayam merah (Amaranthus tricolor L.) biasanya dilakukan menggunakan pupuk kimia untuk asupan unsur haranya. Pupuk kimia memiliki dampak negatif bagi lingkungan. Untuk meminimalisir penggunaan bahan kimia pada lahan budidaya maka dilakukan pemupukan menggunakan pupuk organik salah satunya pupuk kompos. Pupuk kompos merupakan pencampuran dari kotoran hewan, sisa tanaman, dan bioaktivator yang mengalami proses dekomposisi menjadi bentuk pupuk organik yang siap di aplikasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari aplikasi dosis pupuk kompos yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman Bayam Merah (Amaranthus tricolor L.). Penelitian ini menggunakan RAL dengan 3 taraf perlakuan yang masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali. Dosis pupuk yang diaplikasikan dalam penelitian ini yaitu D0 (0 ton/ha), D1 (20 ton/ha), dan D2 (40 ton/ha). Lahan yang digunakan untuk penelitian masing-masing perlakuan seluas 1 m2. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis sidik ragam atau ANOVA (Analys of variant) pada taraf nyata 5% dan dilanjutkan Uji BNT pada taraf 5%. Variabel yang diamati pada 21 HST yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan luas daun. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi pupuk kompos pada D2 memberikan respon positif terhadap tinggi tanaman yang diamati dengan nilai rata-rata 11,7 cm, jumlah daun 11,6 helai, dan luas daun 20,9 cm2 . Pemberian dosis pupuk kompos yang semakin banyak berbanding lurus dengan peningkatan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman.
