Penerimaan diri merupakan masalah yang sering terjadi pada individu yang mengalami kecemasan. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan self acceptance pada mahasiswa dengan problem kecemasan. Asesmen dilakukan untuk mendiagnosa subjek adalah wawancara, observasi, dan tes psikologi yang meliputi tes grafis, SPM, dan Self Acceptance Scale. Hasil asesmen awal menunjukkan bahwa individu ingin memiliki teman yang banyak dan tidak lagi cemas ketika presentasi di kelas. Intervensi dilakukan untuk meningkatkan self-acceptance yang ditandai dengan kesadaran diri bahwa dia memiliki kelebihan dan kemampuan untuk sama dengan teman-temannya, dan dapat memahami materi kuliah dengan baik. Intervesi Reality therapy yang diikuti subjek menghasilkan peribahan pada subjek, yaitu mampu mengetahui kelebihan dan kekurangannya, dapat menyusun jangka pendek dan jangka panjang, serta menyusun langkah-langkah mewujudkannya.Keywords: Reality Therapy, self acceptance, kecemasan, problem dewasa, perencanaan
Adolescents who have experience of being victims of bullying will have a deep sense of trauma both verbal and physical bullying victims. This study aims to obtain a more concrete picture of how self-esteem is owned by victims of bullying. Participants in this study were 3 people with criteria aged 10-18 years, had experienced or were experiencing bullying, and did not experience communication limitations. Data collection methods with open interviews and non-participant observation. The research results obtained showed that the self-esteem of participants as victims of bullying was low, meaning that participants still could not see themselves positively, were hopeless and withdrew from friendships Remaja yang memiliki pengalaman menjadi korban bullying akan memiliki rasa trauma yang mendalam baik korban bullying verbal maupun fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh suatu gambaran yang lebih konkrit tentang bagaimana harga diri yang dimiliki oleh para korban bullying. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 3 orang dengan kriteria berusia 10-18 tahun, pernah atau sedang mengalami bullying, dan tidak mengalami keterbatasan komunikasi. Metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara terbuka dan observasi non partisipan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan harga diri partisipan sebagai korban bullying tergolong rendah, artinya partisipan masih belum bisa melihat dirinya secara positif, putus asa dan menarik diri dari pertemanan.
Thai Students who are getting educated in Indonesia are experiencing various circumstances such as stress due to cultural differences. This makes the students have the appropriate coping strategies to adjust themself in the face of cultural differences that are stressful. This research is a research survey conducted by spreading detailed questionnaire on a sample size of 99 Thai students in town X, Indonesia. The results obtained are that 75.8% of students experience culture shock with the percentage of male students being larger than female students. It is also found that CS experienced affects learning achievement index students, other than that based on the duration the length of stay affect coping strategies are conducted where the students stayed not long ago had a strategy of coping with high facing the CS is experienced so high CS found in students who have already live longer in Indonesia. We also found that coping strategy that focuses on emotions can have significant effects against CS.
Chronic illness is a persistent disease which sometimes cannot be cured. This condition directly raises anxiety, worries and even depression to whom suffers from it. Individual who possess internal locus of control tends to believe that their own abilities controlled their own success, while people who has external locus of control believe that others people are responsible for their success. Locus of control (LOC) is defined as someone belief towards a result which is controlled internally or externally. The aim of this research is finding the impact of locus of control towards depression in chronic disease whom go through periods of outpatients. The subject of this research was 100 outpatients whom suffered from chronic disease. The result showed that locus of control has significant impact towards depression in chronic disease patients.
