Il contributo affronta il tema delle molteplici dimensioni della povertà urbana attraverso analisi miste effettuate nel quartiere CEP di Palermo. Evitando di incorrere nella dicotomia tra Nord e Sud Globale, l'articolo adotta una prospettiva mediterranea e tenta di descrivere il quartiere dal basso, a partire dalle voci dei suoi più giovani abitanti. Alla luce dei più recenti eventi pandemici, la questione della povertà urbana assume una dimensione meritevole di nuove esplorazioni.
