The main sources of surface wastewater pollution are products of soil washout, destruction of asphalt and so on. Surface wastewater pollutes water bodies with suspended, surface-active substances, oil products, organic impurities, heavy metal ions and other pollutants. Precipitation leads to pollution and siltation of watercourse channels, disrupts the vital activity of living organisms, microorganisms, and has a negative effect on the biocenosis and self-cleaning ability of water bodies. The aim of the study was to develop a technology for treating surface wastewater from coal industry enterprises using a new water filtering facility, a clarifier reactor. The composition of the enterprise’s surface wastewater was studied. A draft of a new wastewater treatment plant and a clarifier reactor were developed. The quality of the treated water corresponded to the requirements. As a result of theoretical and experimental studies, a technology for the storm sewage treatment of industrial enterprises was developed, which allows them to be dumped into open water bodies or used for disposal in industrial water supply enterprises.
The relevance of this study is due to the problem’s solution of preventing negative impact on the environment during the industrial waste disposal, as well as insufficient high-performance technologies for the treatment of sewage sludge in Siberian severe climatic conditions. Experimental studies of the properties, composition and structure of oil-emulsion wastewater sludge using x-ray phase and thermogravimetric analysis showed that the natural sludge, characterized by high humidity and a high value of specific filtration resistance is in an amorphous state The results of experimental studies on the conditioning process of oil emulsion wastewater sludge by heat treatment using low temperatures in the natural climatic conditions of Siberia are obtained. They can be used to develop effective technologies for processing and utilizing precipitation, which allows solving the problems of reducing the industrial impact on the environment
Despite on the improvements in the quality of high-rise construction areas and industrial wastewater treatment, the pollution of water bodies continues to increase. This is due to the organized and unorganized surface untreated sewage entry into the reservoirs. The qualitative analysis of some cities’ surface sewage composition is carried out in the work. Based on the published literature review, the characteristic contamination present in surface wastewater was identified. The paper proposes a new technology for the treatment of surface sewage and presents the results of preliminary studies.
