In 2019, the Expanded Family Health and Basic Care Center (Nasf-AB) was excluded from the programs that would have been guaranteed funding within the new funding for Basic Care established by Ordinance No. 2,979, resulting in the publication of Technical Note No. 3/2020 which explains this exclusion. The publication of these documents, as well as the importance of disclosing and monitoring the changes in health care funding and its arguments resulted in the present work. Thus, this study aims at analyzing the justifications pointed out by the above-mentioned documents for the exclusion of Nasf-AB. The justification for this study is the need to understand the impacts resulting from this regulation and its consequences for the integral attention to the population's health. To elaborate the study, we used the argumentative qualitative methodology through the documental analysis of the referred documents. It was observed that multiprofessionality and interdisciplinarity are not being guaranteed and prioritized, since they depend exclusively on the performance of municipal management to be implemented, without any guarantee of existence, which opens precedents for the precariousness of care and violates the principles of resolutiveness, decentralization and longitudinality of care. It is considered that the continuity of Nasf-AB is essential in the care of the population, because it guarantees the implementation of the characteristic actions of Basic Care and offers quality of life to the users through the fulfillment of the principle of completeness, and that it should be a strategy included in the new financing of Basic Care.
