Zusammenfassung:
Lehrende der FH Bielefeld identifizieren die Bibliothek der Hochschule z. T. in einem klassischen Verständnis mit Büchern und Einführungsveranstaltungen. Damit zeigen sie ein ungenaues Bild von den vielfältigen Dienstleistungen und Services der Bibliothek. Um dieses ungenaue Verständnis zu verbessern, sollen die Dienstleistungen und Services der Hochschulbibliothek besser kommuniziert werden. Ein hierzu entwickelter Workshop zum Erwerb von bzw. zur Weiterentwicklung der persönlichen Informationskompetenz (IK) für Lehrende soll zu einer Schärfung des Bibliotheksprofils führen. Die Anknüpfungspunkte und v. a. die Entwicklung, Umsetzung und Weiterentwicklung dieses Ansatzes zeichnet dieser Praxisbericht nach. Es zeigt sich, dass das Konzept inhaltlich und auch methodisch auf Interesse stößt; sich aber Entwicklungspotentiale v. a. in einer Sequenzierung einzelner IK-Inhalte, einer dezentralen Veranstaltungsform sowie in einer direkten Initiierung von Workshops durch die Bibliothek ergeben. Mit dem vorgestellten Ansatz sind Bibliotheken in der Lage, ihr Image bei einer spezifischen Zielgruppe zu korrigieren, indem über sachliche Inhalte sowohl ein Nutzen für Lehrende als auch für die Bibliothek geschaffen wird.
