The increasing complexity of the business environment, growing knowledge requirements, development of information technologies, and competitiveness implies the need of implementation of information management systems. Moreover, welter of information about online customers, their individual behavior, and their expectations force entrepreneurs to manage information in a personalized way. Monitoring Internet users behavior, creating their profiles (based on data about age, sex, lifestyle, interests, family, work, etc.), and controlling current traffic on the Web site give wide range of possibilities in creating a real model of potential customers preference and using it in online communication. This study concentrates on possibilities of using personalized communication in the information management by online stores in 4C model.
<p class="Affiliation">The aim of a metrological analysis of the Machu Picchu site is to verify the hypothesis on the functioning of the imperial system of length measurement which was used by the Incas during measurement and construction processes. Data for metrological analyses were obtained from 3D laser scanning as 3D point cloud from where desired length measurements were collected. As far as the research method is concerned, a statistical model of a cosine quantogram was used to find a unit of design from a data set. The method has successfully been introduced during the analysis of architectural sites of the Mediterranean culture but never has been applied in regard to pre-Columbian archaeology. Statistical approach in this study will reveal new information about Inca urban planning based on the elements of architecture design.</p>
W artykule starano się wykazać, że zastosowanie metody cosine quantogram może wspomóc oparte na analizie modularnej studia nad układami przestrzennymi osad. Metoda cosine quantogram była dotychczas używana do określania podstawowych jednostek miar w architekturze. W badaniach struktur osadniczych może służyć jako statystyczne potwierdzenie wykorzystania modułu w rozmierzeniu i być pomocna w wyznaczeniu pierwotnej szerokości parcel. Weryfikację przeprowadzono na przykładzie regularnych wsilokacyjnych o średniowiecznej metryce (typu Angerdorf), obecnie istniejących: Mnichowice, Templewo, Czeska Wieś oraz dwóch wsi zanikłych w średniowieczu: Goschwitz na Śląsku i Hol koło Pragi. Zaproponowana metodologia może mieć szersze zastosowanie w badaniach historyczno-urbanistycznych.
Ancient Graeco-Roman architecture was designed with the application of mathematical harmony as a key compositional principle used in planning the dimensions and proportions of particular elements, larger parts of buildings or whole edifices. Therefore, application of metrology studies based on a cosine quantogram supports architectural analysis leading to an indication of the predominant stylistic influence on any particular building. Such a dual approach helps to establish the origins of the major artistic tradition in architectural design, especially of buildings excavated in a complex multicultural archaeological context. The aim of this paper is to determine the existence and nature of a module in the architectural decoration as well as in the general design of the ‘Hellenistic’ House, a spacious residence in Nea Paphos, Cyprus, erected in Roman times, but according to the artistic Ptolemaic tradition.
